What to bring to tryouts:
- A great attitude. Be ready to listen to the trainers and have fun while demonstrating your abilities.
- Shinguards — All players must have shinguards to tryout. If you do not have shinguards, please email us and we can try to help find some for you.
- Water – Players will be moving for 90 minutes. Stay hydrated.
- Soccer ball – each player should have a soccer ball for individual drills at the start of the tryout. Be sure to label your soccer ball with your name. All the balls look alike. If you do not have a ball, please email us and we can try to help find one.

FAQ
Does my child have to attend both tryouts?
We encourage all players to attend all tryouts so we can get the best understanding of their abilities in regards to other players. We understand this might not work for all schedules. That’s why we schedule two tryouts for all groups and place them on different days of the week.
What if it rains?
We will communicate all tryout changes through TeamSnap. If a tryout gets rained out, we will make it up as soon as possible.
Will there be cuts? Will current players move up or down teams?
Yes to both. We take a cleansheet approach to all tryouts. Unlike other local clubs, we do NOT make pre-offers to some current players before tryouts. Each player is freshly evaluated on their abilities. Due to roster limitations and the need to create competitive teams, not every child will be placed on a team. The number of teams/cuts will be determined at each age group. For current players, placement on a team for 23-24 does not guarantee continued placement on that team. New players join the club, kids grow/develop each year and roster sizes adjust each year.
What can my child do to have a successful tryout?
We are looking for a variety of factors during tryouts. There are two that are the easiest for each player to control — their attitude and their focus. Pay attention to the drills. Stay engaged. Do your best. Soccer skills and athleticism are also important factors but a kid who demonstrates a great attitude and will be focused during practice can help boost a player in relation to a player of similar soccer abilities who is goofing off in tryouts or not following instructions.
When we will know team placements?
We will start making team offers in late May. We need time to determine rosters.
When does the season start?
For players who are offered a spot, preseason camp will be held in the afternoon of August 26 with regular practices starting after Labor Day.
